We began working with Alex Henry Foster from the release of the very first single of his album A Nightfall Ritual, which came out on May 16, 2025. The album consists of four songs, with only one track under 10 minutes in length. Given the extended format of his music, it was clear that a traditional Playlist Promotion campaign would not be effective. Instead, from the release of the first single “I’m Afraid”, we focused entirely on Meta campaigns, testing a wide range of creatives using live footage from his concert films over the two-month period leading up to the album release.
The focus track “Up Til Dawn” was added to Spotify’s official Prog Rock editorial playlist, validating our approach to positioning Alex within niche but highly engaged communities. Two weeks after the album release, Alex launched a final live performance video for “The Pain That Bonds”—a nearly 17-minute track—which became the top-performing creative in terms of conversion and engagement.
Following the album release, we were strategically positioned to shift into tour promotion. With a clear understanding of the highest-performing creatives, we launched localized campaigns in each tour market, retargeting everyone who had interacted with the album cycle from the very beginning.
